DIY Growth Oil Treatment with Rosehip Oil & Argan Oil
For women especially, our hair is everything! When it looks and feels good, we look and feel good!
It’s our crowning glory.
However, many of us have struggled with hair loss or thinning hair.
"Many" meaning over 40 million in the United States alone are affected by hair loss.
Whether it’s from pulling those braids too tight, or simple stress, hair loss can be debilitating and very damaging to one’s self-esteem.
There are several products on the market that claim to help re-grow your hair.
This can’t be PROVEN.
However, natural products CAN and DO stimulate growth, especially when certain oils are used.
….has a special oil specifically helpful with regrowth.
ROSEHIP OIL is packed with essential vitamins and fatty acids that aid in repairing and renewing damaged hair follicles and scalp issues to promote hair growth. It is very light, and one of its main benefits is how easily it is absorbed into the scalp, deeply penetrating, moisturizing and softening the skin; which sets the perfect environment for growth.
Because of the anti-oxidants that occur in Rosehip naturally, it is great for fighting the oxidants- those in the environment and even stress - which cause hair loss.
And, hold on, these anti-oxidants can also prevent your hair from graying!
"How?" you say. Rosehip Oil has Vitamin C and E. These help to slow down the aging process which causes gray hair. Rosehip Oil also contains Vitamin A; particularly known to be important when trying to regrow those trouble spots. Vitamin A has anti-oxidant properties like the other vitamins, and helps prevent wilting of the hair follicles and dry scalp. Bottom line, Rosehip oil is a must for stronger, younger looking hair. But there are other ingredients in this month's mix that will aid in your healthy hair journey as well.
Peppermint Essential Oil and Vanilla Fragrance
Grape Seed Oil
PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL stimulates the scalp which helps blood flow and aids in hair growth; and VANILLA FRAGRANCE, so you smell like candy and not just mint.
APRICOT OILcontains essential fatty acids and helps soften the hair and scalp..It also contains linoleic acid which, you guessed it, helps stimulate hair growth. Apricot Oil draws small amounts of water from the air's humidity, helping to maintain hydration in the hair and scalp.
ARGAN OIL helps to repair, soften and strengthen dry, brittle hair. It also adds shine, restores split ends, and protects against the heat of blow dryers, curling irons and flat irons.
JOJOBA OIL removes hair residues and provides a cooling effect, making it a superb conditioner. It soothes the scalp and treats dry scalp and dandruff. It has the ability to penetrate the hair follicle, and strengthen hair fibers from the inside.
GRAPE SEED OIL is full of emollients and nutrients, and specifically addresses problems like weakened hair, dandruff and hair loss. Like Rosehip Oil, it contains Vitamin E which helps to build tissue and restore hair strands.
I use products like these for my entire body. It’s a collection of high-quality oils, especially the Rosehip, Argan, and Jojoba oil.
I use it for taking down my twists or styling my hair, and on my skin daily because it easily absorbs without ruining my clothes.
Additionally, it being in a spray bottle means it's easier to distribute throughout your hair and all over your body.
Because it's lightweight, it can be used on your face after removing makeup, or to remove make up, as long as a little tingle from the peppermint doesn’t bother you!
Make sure water does not enter the mixture at any point. This product can last for a year without a preservative. However, if water contaminates the mixture, it will soil within a month.
Peppermint Oil is key for generating blood flow and treating the skin, but you may not be fond of the tingling sensation. Do a patch test on your arm before applying to scalp, face, and other skin areas.
I hope this product will become a staple for you as it has for me. Please be sure to share your experience with the product in the comments section below.
